Tilokchand Kothari founded the Visagar Group — a company that has grown across financial services, real estate, media and entertainment, textiles and education. Over four decades, the pattern has been consistent: enter with conviction, invest with patience, build institutions rather than vehicles.
Trisha Studios began from something more personal: a genuine love for cinema. When Kothari saw the gap between what Indian filmmakers needed and what the post-production industry was providing, he made a decision that would define the following decade. Not to build a rental studio. Not to offer the minimum viable workflow. But to build — with proper investment, over proper time — a facility that could meet any filmmaker's ambition without compromise.

Asha Kothari has been part of Trisha Studios from its earliest days — not as a background administrator, but as the structural foundation that allowed its growth to be stable. Corporate governance and business development are often invisible disciplines until they fail. In eighteen years of continuous operation, they have not failed.

Vishal Tilokchand Kothari
Vishal Kothari manages the part of a production that most people would rather not think about: budgets, timelines, vendor agreements and the logistics of delivering complex projects without delay. In post-production, every unplanned day costs money the production cannot recover. His approach — precise scheduling, clear commitments, realistic timelines — is why producers return.

Kiran Kaur
Kiran Kaur is the person most filmmakers encounter first. As Director of Operations, she oversees the client experience from first conversation to final delivery — across both the Mumbai facility and the forthcoming Mohali studio. If Trisha Studios' technical capability is its engine, operations is its rhythm. Projects move without friction because she ensures they do.

The Future

The conviction that led to building Trisha Studios in 2008 — that Indian filmmakers deserved a facility built to international standards, not adapted from lesser ones — has not changed. Mohali is its continuation.
The Punjabi film industry, northern India's advertising and content market, and the growing production ecosystem across Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh will have access to a facility that matches anything available in Mumbai — without the travel.
